Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Software Age collects through this website, its customer accounts, its support chat and its desktop software, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Software Age is a software company based in Jal El Dib, Lebanon. It is responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at info@softwareage.net or +961 71 301583.
What we collect
- Forms. When you send a message, book a demo, ask for a quotation or a free trial, or request an application, we receive your name, e-mail address, phone number, the type of business you run and your message.
- Newsletter. Your e-mail address, if you subscribe.
- Accounts. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, e-mail address, profile picture and account identifier with us. Customer accounts can also hold the files you upload and the downloads we prepare for you.
- Support chat. The messages you exchange with our support assistant, linked to your account when you are signed in.
- Customers and licensed software. For customers we keep the business name, address, phone number, e-mail address and financial registration number. When our desktop software registers or checks its licence, it sends the serial number of the computer's hard disk, the program name and version, and the computer's IP address.
- Technical data. Like any website, our servers record your IP address, browser and the pages you request. We also keep the product ratings you give.
How we use it
- To answer your requests, prepare quotations, demos and trials, and provide support.
- To activate, verify and renew the licences of the software you use.
- To manage your account and give you your files.
- To send the newsletter, if you subscribed.
- To protect the website against spam and abuse, and to keep it working.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Services we rely on
Some data passes through providers that help us run the website, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google: sign-in, reCAPTCHA spam protection on our forms, and the fonts of the website.
- Groq: the AI model behind the support chat receives the messages you type there.
- Our hosting and e-mail providers, which store the website and deliver its messages.
Some of these providers process data outside Lebanon. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the website needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and remembers your forms, and a security token that protects the forms. Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies to tell people from bots. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and requests as long as they are useful to follow up on them, customer and licence records for as long as you use our software and as the law requires afterwards, and accounts until you ask us to delete them.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS, customer files are stored privately and are only available to their owner, and access to our back office is restricted to our staff.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Write to info@softwareage.net. Deleting the records of licensed software will stop that software from working.
Children
Our services are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
